Durjoy Datta

Twenty-five year old Durjoy Datta needs no introduction in the literary scene of Indian writing in English.
His books have sold more than a million copies in the last three years and all six of his novels have been best sellers. These books are: OfCourse I Love You Till I Find Someone Better, NowThat You're Rich.. Let’s Fall in Love, You weremy Crush, Ohh Yes, I Am Single!, If It’s NotForever! It’s not love and She Broke Up, I Didn’t! He was named and awarded as a young achiever at the 12th Teachers Achievement Awards. He entered the league of young achievers along with the likes of Anushka Sharma, Ranbir Kapoor, Boman Irani, Shashi Tharoor and others. His writing is considered dark, very real and as-a-matter-of-fact. The Times of India acknowledged him as a young achiever; and in 2011 he was selected as a young achiever in the arena of Media and Communications by Whistling Woods International. The Outlook magazine describes him as one of those author hopefuls from India who could ‘re-shape’ the Indian publishing industry.

Further  Durjoy Datta is the third highest-selling fictionwriter in India.  He is an alumnus of Bal Bharti Public School, Delhi College of Engineering and Management Development Institute, Gurgaon. He is currently working with Grapevine India Publishers Pvt. Ltd.  He has always held versatile interests: at school, he earned the first rank in the Academy of Geography Teachers scholarship exam and earned a scholarship from the Sanskrit Sahitya Academy. He was also a scholar-badge holder for five years! While at college, he volunteered for projects in the Art of Living, worked as a creative writer & content developer and he won the first position in Parvartak Business Plan Competition, Hansraj College, Delhi University. He also held positions in college as chairman, Technical Publications, Innova-2008, the annual technical festival of Mechanical, Civil and Production streams, as head - Technical Publications, Society Of Automotive Engineers (SAE), DCE chapter (2007- 08) and organizer - Troika DCE – the IEEE annual festival, 2005.

Durjoy Datta worked at Siemens AG and worked in projects based in Germany, Finland and the United States: the highlight being the reference project (ZGK900), the largest nuclear power plant power research project in Siemens AG. He also did a summer internship with NIIT Ltd. and American Express. He has also spoken as a guest speaker on topics such as Marketing, Creativity and Entrepreneurship at seminars hosted by Shri Ram College of Commerce, AISEC, WWI, and TEDx.
